Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you use the Tabzoid website (tabzoid.com) and the Tabzoid Discord bot (together, the "Services"), and what we do with it.

Who we are

Tabzoid is an independent, non-commercial project for can-tab collectors, run by the Tabzoid team. You can reach us any time at tabzillionaire@gmail.com.

The website

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — things like page views, approximate location (country/region), browser type, and the pages you visit. Google sets cookies to do this and may process some of the data on our behalf. This information is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you. You can read Google's Privacy Policy, and you can opt out site-wide with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

We do not run ads, and we do not sell or share analytics data with advertisers.

Accounts

Most of the site works without an account. If you create one, we collect and store the information needed to run it:

• your email address and a securely hashed password — we never store your password in plain text;
• profile details you add: username, display name, bio, avatar, and any links;
• content you create: tabs in your personal collection, photos you upload, and submissions to the archive;
• basic technical information tied to your account, such as sign-in timestamps and IP address, used to keep your account secure.

Some of this is public by design — your username, display name, bio, avatar, links, and any tabs published to the archive can be seen by anyone. The rest — your email, your private collection, and pending submissions — is not public.

We use this information only to provide the Services: to run your account and public profile, show and organize your collection, review submissions, and send account emails (like confirming your address or resetting your password). To keep you signed in, the site stores a secure session token in your browser. Account data is hosted in the United States.

The Discord bot

The Tabzoid Discord bot is currently operated in a private server and is designed to store as little as possible. In normal operation it does not collect or retain your personal data. When you run a command, Discord passes the bot the information it needs to respond (such as your user ID, the command you used, and the server and channel it was used in). The bot processes this in the moment to reply and does not save it to a long-term database.

The bot does not:

• read, store, or log your message history beyond the command you send it;
• build a profile of you or track you across servers;
• sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

If this ever changes — for example, if a future feature needs to save your submissions or settings — we will update this policy first and describe exactly what is stored and why.

Tab submissions

If you choose to submit a tab (a photo and any details you include) through the website or bot, you're sharing that with us on purpose so it can be added to the archive. Only send information you're comfortable making public.

Third-party services

We rely on a few outside services to run the Services, and your use of them is also governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Analytics — website usage measurement.
• Supabase — accounts, database, and secure file storage for your profile, collection, and uploads. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of public catalog images. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — sending account emails such as confirmations and password resets. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
• Discord — the platform the bot runs on. See Discord's Privacy Policy.

Data retention & deletion

If you have an account, we keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings — this removes your profile, your personal collection, and the photos you've uploaded. Tabs already published to the public archive may remain as part of the record, but we'll de-associate them from you on request.

The Discord bot still doesn't store personal data. Aggregated website analytics are kept by Google according to their retention settings. Anything you deliberately submit (like a tab photo) is kept as part of the archive unless you ask us to remove it.

Your choices & rights

You can edit or delete your profile and collection any time from your account, and you can delete your account entirely from your profile settings. You can opt out of website analytics as described above. Account emails are limited to things you need, like confirmations and password resets; any newsletter is separate and opt-in.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To make a request, or if you have any question about your data, email tabzillionaire@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

Children

You must be at least 13 to create a Tabzoid account (older where local law requires), and Discord likewise requires users to be at least 13. The Services are not directed at children under 13, we don't knowingly collect their personal data, and we'll remove any account we learn belongs to someone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project grows. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
